Electrical Engineering is a fascinating field! Just as the world needs its Doctors, Nurses and Teachers, Electrical Engineering is something which we simply couldn't do without. Electrical engineers work on a variety of projects, such as computers, robots, medical devices, wearable devices, cell phones, cards, radars, electric cars, navigation systems, and more. You can hardly find a device that does not have electronics in it!
If you like the idea of creating these type of electrical systems, if you enjoy helping millions of people on a day-to-day basis, then consider attending the North Bay Engineering Summer Camp @ SSU.
In this 5-day long camp, students will learn about basic electronics, electronics circuits and electronic components, Arduino programming, signal processing, measurement equipment, basic troubleshooting skills, App development, designing with CAD tools, using 3D printers, and more. All students receive their own electronic kits. During the lab activities, students are introduced with young engineers who are currently working in the local high-tech companies.
In addition, participating students will have the opportunity to visit the Engineering facility and the Makerspce at Sonoma State University. Interested students can also visit SSU Preserve or Keysight manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa. Finally, if resources permit, we plan to offer the participating students the opportunity to visit SSU Preserve or/and Keysight manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa. At SSU Preserve students have the opportunity to work with local naturalists and see how engineering projects are being used to better understand changes in our environtmnet. At Keysight studnets can interact with engineers, sientists, and technolgy experts and learn about the latest state-of-the-art technologies in engineering.
Make this summer the most amazing summer you have ever had! Apply now!
