Inventions and Prototypes

Between work, study, and traveling, every so often, I come up with an idea and start bringing it to life. These are some of those ideas. I consider these prototypes as inventions because they are new and you cannot find anything like these in the market. The sad thing is that they never made it beyond my garage!
Kickboxing Pad
Description: This product is very cool. It is an excellent tool to improve your forms if you are into martial arts or boxing. The Kickboxing Pad, which can be wrapped around any pole (or a punching bag), allows you to practice your kicking and punching techniques. The pad randomly turns on one of its indicators and tells the user which technique to use and where to hit the pad. The pad has an audio chip which can talk to user and tell him how fast and accurate his techniques are.

The Kickboxing Pad measures how fast the target was hit and, using its audio chip, it tells the user how fast they are.

The display screen monitors the over all activities for five minutes and provides a final score.

This is an excellent tool to improve your techniques and speed!

Technical Information: The basic components used for designing the Kickboxing Pad are PIC16C55 micro-processor and ISD 1000AP audio chip from TI.
